STATEMENT

[Statement: Stockholm, Sweden – October 19, 2023]

 

This statement is to inform you about an acute situation that has occurred in Pingst – Sweden. (The Pentecostal Alliance of Independent Churches)

Accusations have come to our knowledge against General Superintendent for the Pentecostal Alliance of Independent Churches. (Pingst) Daniel Alm.

The board of the Pentecostal Alliance of Independent Churches has taken the allegations seriously and are dealing with them according to established protocol.

The chairman of the board of the Pentecostal Alliance of Independent Churches together with the chairman of the Pentecostal Church of Västerås has had contact in the matter with Daniel Alm. Daniel Alm was exempt from work with immediate effect by the denomination and the local church.

On October 5th, Daniel Alm resigned with immediate effect as General Superintendent.

Former General Superintendent Ps. Pelle Hörnmark has stepped in as interim General Superintendent until new elections can be held at our general assembly in May 2024.

Our national organization offers support to all involved individuals, organizations and churches. We humbly ask for your prayers as we walk through this challenging season.
